The Start of a Journey

Well, we made it to Ireland in one piece with little to few bruises :) Got into Dublin pretty jet-lagged, ended up trading our currency for pound and then trying to buy a buss pass with it not realizing that Ireland is not part of the UK and therefore not on the pound, but on the Euro! Pretty amusing (especially to the bus driver). We then traveled to my cousin Jeff and Stacey's house in Dublin and they met us very graciously. We are staying here again tonight, and possibly tomorrow, we can't thank them enough. Today we went and explored Dublin in all of its glory. We saw castles and gardens and mossy rivers and street performers and of course loads of red heads :) Tomorrow we are off to see the cliffs of Moher which are on the west coast of Ireland (google the pictures it looks gorgeous!). The next day our plan is to get to Scotland and the day after that to get to Northumberland, England to see my good friend Lauren. We are just planning as we go, which is very nice :)

Leaving in two days

Ticket...check
backpack....check
sleeping bag....check
all of it in the same place and ready to go?...definitely not!
I am still in the packing process which is very difficult when I just had to pack up my entire house and move everything including my Europe goodies. By the time Tuesday comes though I know I will be more than ready to have a seat on that really long flight over the deep blue and catch some well deserved zzzzz's....
Anyone have any suggestions as to certain weird quirky things I should take with me? My brand new down camping pillow (thanks mum!) is definitely top of my list for carry on items!
